My passion for languages began at just five years old thanks to my travel-loving parents, their trusty caravan and their first house in France. I was lucky to grow up between England and France, and travel extensively throughout Europe with my family.
After completing a BA Hons degree in Languages and Linguistics (French and Swedish) at the University of York, I then spent 15 years in the airline industry, in the UK and Canada. During this time, I also completed a Higher Certificate in Law with the Open University.
Since 2012, I have been working as a translator and proofreader in France, specialising in the aeronautical, tourism and legal sectors. In 2022, I decided to formalise my experience by becoming an accredited proofreader and copy editor through the College of Media and Publishing.
I also work as a freelance writer, with articles and short stories published in magazines, such as Reader's Digest, France Today, The People's Friend, Vanity Fur, French Property News, Yours, Go English, Living France and Yorkshire Life.
I look forward to working with you on your translation, proofreading and copy editing projects! Please don't hesitate to get in touch via the "Contact" page.
